ABOUT THE COMPANY

House of Bikes is one of Canada’s fastest growing e-bike dealers, known for high-quality products, meticulous service standards, and a customer experience that feels more boutique than bike shop. We are seeking a Senior E-Bike Technician to lead our service, quality control, and technical operations as an integral member of our Customer Experience Team.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a full-time, 1-year position. Given the seasonal nature of the e-bike industry, your focus will be primarily technical during the busy months, with increased involvement in retail operations, e-commerce, and administrative projects — as well as training and process development during the winter season.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Assemble, tune, and quality-control new e-bikes to industry-leading delivery standards
  • Diagnose mechanical issues, perform repairs, and collaborate with manufacturers when needed
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues, perform component replacements and firmware updates
  • Oversee service operations, warranty cases, and parts procurement with accountability for customer communication
  • Maintain a polished, efficient, and well-organized workshop that reflects a premium brand
  • Lead the technical standards of the workshop and mentor junior technicians as the team expands
  • Assist with inventory handling, shop organization, and recycling of packaging
  • Occasionally load and transport e-bikes to freight carrier hubs for shipment or at-home delivery for customers
  • Support sales and administrative teams during peak volumes and slow season, including customer handoffs and guidance
  • Collaborate with management to document and enhance processes, tools, and quality controls

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 3+ years of professional experience as a Bike or E-Bike Technician (senior level preferred)
  • Deep mechanical competence: drivetrains, hydraulic brakes, torque accuracy, troubleshooting
  • Meticulous workmanship with pride in consistent, top-quality results
  • Team-player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Professional, punctual, reliable — strong brand representation and customer presence
  • Organized, systems-minded, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
  • Comfortable with e-bike electronics (or a fast learner with plug-and-play systems)
  • Ability to coach or mentor less-experienced technicians while maintaining high standards
  • Adaptability and enthusiasm to contribute to sales, administrative and retail operations during the slow season and peak-season overflow
  • Nice to Have: French bilingualism, G-class driver’s license, experience in a high-end retail or sporting goods environment.
