My background in motorsports and racing evolved into a passion for motorcycles, mountain biking, and eventually e-bikes. Years of riding across trails, gravel, and fat-bike routes shaped my perspective on what great cycling should feel like — and inspired me to found House of Bikes to help others discover the lifestyle that has been transformational for me.

Combining a lifelong entrepreneurial spirit with my love for cycling was a natural progression. I’m driven to build an outstanding work environment for our team so we can deliver on our commitment to offer you a best-in-class e-bike experience — exceptional products, expert guidance, and a welcoming space for riders at every stage of their journey.

Hello! I’m Conrad. An ex full-time pro DH mountain biker with long-standing curiosity for everything technical. Racing at the highest level taught me to perform under pressure and solve problems methodically. I learned to find solutions where others see obstacles, squeeze performance out of every nook and cranny, and never stop pushing for excellence; lessons that still guide my work today. Through extensive hands-on experience, I’ve developed a sound mechanical and electronic skillset, all while leading shop teams dedicated to outstanding results.

When I’m not at the shop, I’m usually riding, or working on a project: rebuilding engines, racing go-karts, pro photography, building home servers – you name it. I’m always up for a deep dive to find out how far the rabbit hole goes. Never stop learning!

Mountain biking is a core part of my life — the challenge, progression, and thrill of the trail fuel everything I do. I ride XC, enduro, and downhill, always pushing to improve my skills while enjoying nature's trails. The Ottawa–Gatineau network — from Gatineau Park to Camp Fortune and Mont-Ste-Marie — has shaped my riding and connection to the cycling community.

At House of Bikes, I developed the service department's operations, established efficient workflows, and implemented our security infrastructure. I’m passionate about helping riders choose the right e-bike, refine their setup, and feel confident on any ride. Being part of a team committed to utmost quality makes every day meaningful.

I am a Cocker Spaniel puppy and the in-house source of joy, entertainment, and workplace distractions. I take my duties seriously: greeting customers, testing the durability of shoelaces (especially Alex’s), and inspecting e-bike tires for “flavor and chew value.” After a few minutes of love or a challenging treat puzzle, I power down to recharge my battery so I can wake up ready for peak canine performance!

I bring laughter, warmth, and a whole lot of personality to the showroom — no assembly required. I am still learning, currently taking Training 101: Puppy Manners. If you prefer space or would like me to take a quick break, just let the team know — they're happy to accommodate.
